Spring Break 2013 ~ Fabulous Photo Shoot

Hello Peeps!  I hope you've had a great beginning to your week.  I was out of town all weekend and never got around to photographing and editing photos, so a post for yesterday never happened.  But I'm back today with another full page layout from our Spring Break 2013 trip.

I used the Simple Stories Posh Collection for this layout.  I just love the blush pattern paper with gold polka-dots... oh so pretty!  I added touches of gold accents and the "fabulous" gold title to coordinate.   Then "sparkle" sentiment is from one of the pocket cards that I trimmed with a stitched circle die.

Supply List:
Simple Stories Posh Collection (pattern paper, sparkle sentiment)

Lawn Fawn - Stitched Edge Die
Stitched Circle Die & Banner Die - Taylored Expressions
Gold Hearts - Studio Calico
Gold "Fabulous" Title - American Crafts Thickers
Blush cardstock - Stampin' Up!
Photo Corner Die - Technique Tuesday
Alphabet Stamps - Hero Arts
  * journaling was typed on the computer, printed on blush cardstock and trimmed

Spring Break 2013 ~ More from Cozumel

Happy Friday!  Today I'm back with a few more pages from our Spring Break 2013 trip... it's been fun looking through these photos again & seeing how much my kids have changed ~ especially my son.  Goodness, he has sure grown up!

Once again, I used the Simple Stories You Are Here Collection for these pages and used the standard Becky Higgins Design A page protectors (although I don't photograph the pages in them).   I love adding all the bits and pieces in the collection to my photos.

My second coordinating page ~ I added some washi tape and enamel dots.  I typed all of my journaling on a typewriter.

Have A Wonderful Weekend!

Hip Kit Club ~ Sweet Moments

Hello my crafty friends!  I love taking pictures... but you already know that, don't you?  My family is pretty good about posing for photos when I ask, but my daughter is my best model.  She is always happy to smile for the camera ~ seriously, how can you resist her beautiful smile?  Now and then she will send me sweet photos from college with friends or her boyfriend.  When these arrived in my inbox, I knew I wanted to create a layout using the January Hip Kit

I used a variety of supplies from the various December & January Hip Kits (see supplies listed below).   I angled the black & white polka-dot paper and then stamped an Ali Edwards stamp along the edge.  I felt like it needed something to finish the edge of the paper.  The clip, banner stickers and heart were all layered bits and pieces that add a cool touch to that corner.

I knew I wanted to used the acrylic gold "Sweet" as part of the title & then added the sparkly foam stickers for the "moments".  I'm loving all the layers of arrows, flowers and doilies around the photos that highlight but don't over power the focus of the page.

December Hip Kits:
Cardstock: American Crafts – Parfait Cardstock (cardstock add-on kit)
Clip - Project Life Kit
"Sweet" Acrylic Accent, Open Heart, and Silver Foam Letters - Embellishment Kit

January Hip Kits:
Black/white polka-dot (HKC Exclusive January paper add-on)
Arrow, Floral & Banner Stickers - American Crafts/1 Canoe 2 – Hazelwood  - January Project Life Hip Kit

Other:
Stamp Set - Ali Edwards
Gold Box Letter Stickers - Studio Calico
Gold Enamel Dots - Doodle Bug
Doilies - Wilton Cake Supplies
Ink - Earl Gray Taylored Expressions

Project 52 ~ Week #07

It's Wednesday already!!! Goodness, those Monday holidays really mess me up for the rest of the week.  LOL!  But here I am again with my Project 52 post & week #07.  I love being able to keep up with this fun project on the Project Life App because it's Easy Peasy!

This week's page features filler, title and journal cards from the kit called Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Edition.  It is available for purchase in the PL App & it's super sweet.  For my journaling, I decided to just add highlights for a few of the photos & added overlays from a few different kits.

Have an Amazing Day!!!

Spring Break 2013 ~ Our Day in Cozumel!

Hello Crafty Friends! I'm back today with a few more pages from my Spring Break 2013 Album. Sorry if I'm giving you all whiplash with jumping around all over the place, but with my new crafty goals in scrapbooking, I'm scrapping what I want, when I want (vs. scrapping chronologically). I finished this trip album last month & I'm finally going back to photograph the pages a few at a time so I can share them.  FYI ~ photographing scrapbook pages & editing the pictures is one of my least favorite things to do... but I'm working on getting better.

For this project, I am using the Simple Stories collection called You Are Here.  It is perfect for a tropical vacation.  For my journaling, I used a typewriter and I added words and dates with my Hero Arts alphabet stamps.

I love using the phrase & alphabet stickers on the various blocks.  Again, I used a typewriter for the journaling because I can add a lot more details.

If you want to see more pages from this album, here is the link to that album >>> Spring Break 2013 Album.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Studio Calico ~ January Highlights

Welcome to a new week!  Since today is President's Day, many of you may have an extended weekend, so I hope you're enjoying a fun day off with your family.

My page today uses supplies from the January Studio Calico Documenter kit called Roman Holiday. I had placed all of the pocket cards and the white "January" title inside the pockets when I first got the kit, but I hadn't decided what I wanted to do with them.  I pulled the page protector out the other day and it dawned on me that it would make a fun monthly highlight page.  Since the Studio Calico kits come with that script month title each time, I may continue to do this all year since my Project 52 pages are in the Project Life App & I have all of these amazing physical products.

I love the colors on these cards ~ especially the floral ones... so bright and cheery for the dreary month of January.  I carried out a few themes through out the page ~ I dated each photo, used hearts, printed a few black & white photos, and I used gold elements.

Almost all of the supplies are from the Studio Calico kit, unless otherwise stated ~ here are the details for the cards.

Top Left: I glued the white "January" title on the floral card and then added the gold "stories" sticker under it. Then I used some gold Studio Calico number stickers.

Top Right: I printed the photo in black & white because the color photo version had way too much color going on for this layout.  I added the coordinating heart sticker from the Ali Edwards Numbers Story Kit.

Middle Left to Right:

  • To continue a bit more black and white, I printed a 2x2 photo of Tim & I and added it to a mat of coordinating cardstock. I added the gold "You & Me" title and date stamped it.
  • This filler card & the white circle were both from the kit.  I trimmed the cardstock with a stitched circle die (Taylored Expressions) and then added a gold Studio Calico chipboard heart.
  • I printed the photo of Matt in color since it coordinated nicely with the layout.  I just added a piece of the cardstock and date stamped it and then added these gold mirror dots from My Minds Eye to the side.  Confession... it covers up the neighbor's trash can.  LOL
  • The card is from the kit & I printed off the 2x2 photo in color.  I added the gold mirror heart from My Minds Eye and then the gold "This".  It actually said "Needed This" but I cut the other part off.  Then I added the date stamp at the bottom.
Lower Left: I typed up my journaling on the computer and trimmed it to fit the bottom of the card.  I added the washi tape to cover the edge.  The gold mirror heart is from My Minds Eye.  For the photo flag, I trimmed a piece of cardstock & added the date stamp to one more black and white photo.

Lower Right: The chipboard pencil is from the kit and I added some quick hand journaling & the date stamp.

Now that I'm looking at the photographed page, I may switch the lower two photos so the color photos aren't all grouped together... that's the nice thing about pocket page protectors!

Have a lovely day & thanks for stopping by!!

Hip Kit Page ~ New Year's Getaway

Happy Friday my friends!  I hope you have some fun plans this weekend.  I'm excited to see my sweet girl this weekend and take my son to a college visit on Monday... OMW!  How did they grow up this fast???

Yesterday, I worked on a few pocket pages with a few different kits.  The supplies are mostly from the December Hip Kit with a few extra things from my stash.  I let the cards guide this page and decided to use some photos from our most recent vacation since that's how we rang in 2017.

For the top left title card, the printed card, the chipboard alpha letters, 2017 flair, cheers circle & remember this are all from the December Hip Kits.  The rest of the script letter stickers are from Heidi Swapp. The other two printed 3x4 cards are also from the Hip Kit and the circles on the bottom two photos were cut with a circle punch from another coordinating card in the Hip Kit that I decided I wouldn't use.  I typed the titles on them and then punched them out & added some washi tape and the little black heart.  I really like how they turned out & that they coordinate with the rest of the page.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hip Kit Page ~ Dreamers Gonna Dream

Hello Friends!  I'm still working my way through my December Hip Kit... there were so many fabulous pieces in this kit that I can't stop using it.   Plus, I am finding that all of the pretty items coordinate nicely with the January & February Hip Kits also.

These photos are from her first day of her sophomore year in college... I've trained her well that she still take pictures on her first day & sends them to me!  She's such a good girl :)  The papers and embellishments are from Pink Paislee they are so soft and pretty which is just what my daughter loves.

In the upper left pocket, I used some of the ephemera included in the Main Scrapbook kit.  I stamped the title with gold ink and the date.  Then I added a few of my prayers for her this year ~ btw, she always works very hard, which is why it wasn't first.   For the next pocket, that was actually a 3x4 card that I trimmed to a stitched oval.  I just added it to the pocket without putting it on anything. The phrase stickers on the photos are from the February Hip Kit from Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams Collection.

Project 52 ~ Week #06

It's Wednesday already & that means it's time for my next Project 52 story page!  Once again, I am continuing this project digitally on my tablet with the Project Life App from Becky Higgins.  If you don't have this App, it's pretty fun to play around with and so easy to create great pages.  It's available for $2.99 for both Android and Apple devices (both phones & tablets).  One of these days, I will document my process using the App and show you how easy it is to use.

Week #6 was pretty busy and there was lots and lots of music!  Matt is busy playing all the time and he wouldn't have it any other way... and he looks pretty awesome in his black suit too!   We also had a wonderful surprise last weekend when Megan and her boyfriend showed up to see Matt play.  That was pretty awesome!  And the, of course, I love the picture of Jazz being a naughty puppy!

Each week I try and add photos of the things going on; however, sometimes I don't have one.  That means it's time to do a Google search and find something... that's what I did for the Super Bowl photo.  I often do that for trips as well if I didn't get that perfect photo of a place we went or something we saw.  The App is great because I can search and download right on my tablet, and then add the photo directly into my page from the gallery.

So that's my latest Project 52 page... if you want to see more of my Project Life App pages, check out this link ~ CLICK HERE.

My Family ~ My Heart

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I decided that since today is a day all about Hearts and Love, I would share some pages I finished of my family.  These pages are from the same Spring Break 2013 Cruise that I've been sharing lately, so the photo are almost 4 years old.  However, I just started working on this album this past November and finished the entire album in under 2 months... so I'm pretty happy with that bit of progress! These photos were all taken by photographers on the ship, so they are 8" x 10".  I didn't really want to do full 12x12 layouts for each one and decided do very simple 8 1/2" x 11" coordinating layouts and put them in that size page protectors. I have several different sizes of page protectors in my album & I love mixing it up.

For these pages, I used the Be Fearless Value Kit by Becky Higgins along with some gold metallic cardstock, then Poppyseed & Earl Gray cardstock from Taylored Expressions.  I didn't use red, but there's lots of gold and hearts sprinkled throughout the pages.

Here's me and my sweetie!

I kept each layout very simple and in the same color palette.

The kids with their uncle.

My pretty girl!

Our whole group!

And here's a pocket page using the same collection.

Have a Happy {Heart} Day!

Spring Break 2013 ~ Picture Perfect

Good Monday Morning!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend & you're ready for this new week!  I can't believe how busy the weekends have been ... and will continue to be over the next several months.  But... it's all good stuff!  So since the weekend was so busy, I didn't have a chance to break into my new scrapbook kit & decided to post some more photos of the Spring Break 2013 Album layouts that I haven't had a chance to post yet.

This sweet picture of my daughter and her good friend, was taken by the ship's photographer.  They did a whole series of photos, but I just did a few layouts with them.  I'm sure I'll do a few more at some point because they all turned out so cute!  For the supplies, I used the Simple Stories Posh Kit along with some wooden embellishments.

Here's are some close ups of the journaling...

Have a great day & thanks for stopping by!

Monthly Subscription Reviews ~ Ali Edwards, Studio Calico & Hip Kit

Happy Friday Scrapbook Peeps!

As I discussed at the beginning of January, and from the many pages I've posted, I am being much more intentional about getting back into my scrapbooks.  I signed up for several monthly subscription kits & thought I'd share my impressions of them so far.   After each review, I've added a few layouts (both full 12x12 & Project Life pocket style) to give you a comparison of each kit.  I'll apologize up front for the various lighting on the photos below.  Sometimes I have to use different settings for different colors... I've been experimenting with editing as well.  It's a work in progress for me but I can see photography and/or Photoshop classes are in my near future :)

Ali Edwards Story Kit & Story Stamp:
I started this subscription in December and decided to go with both the Story Kit and the Story Stamp for 6 months.  If you sign up for both, you get the digital kit free. I love having the digital items to do overlays on my photos or extra cards to type my journaling.  I have received 3 kits so far ~ Surprise, Review & Numbers.  I loved them all and the quality of the products is amazing!  The pocket cards are 2-sided with different designs on each side and they are made of nice heavy cardstock.  Also included in the kit are a variety of beautiful embellishments that are different each month.    Another nice thing about having the digital kit, is that I have access to all of the double-sided cards... so when I use one, it's OK because I can print another.  The Story Stamps always coordinate perfectly with the Story Kits with fonts and sayings.  The stamps are quality clear acrylic & stamp beautifully.

A new "Classroom" is started on the Ali Edwards website for each Story Kit.  Ali includes videos of the kit contents and process videos for her projects.  Guest storytellers also post new videos mid-month for more inspiration.   In addition to the video section, the "classroom" also has a gallery to add your own pages, a forum to have discussions and ask questions, and a place for digital downloads for that month. She also has a very detailed downloadable PDF for each month with step-by-step instructions for her projects, as well as thoughts on other suggestions for using them.

This subscription is completely thought out & detailed.  They are designed to make you think and tell your stories. In my opinion, the Story Kits & Story Stamps are well worth the price.  I will be keeping my subscription to this one FOR SURE!

Here are a few of the pages I've done with Story Kits/Story Stamps:

Studio Calico Documenter Kit:
Just last month, I started with Studio Calico. They also manufacturer the Ali Edwards kits, so I knew they would be a great quality products.  The pocket cards are 2-sided and several were gold foiled... GORGEOUS!!!  The colors were bright and beautiful as well.  The fantastic embellishments were a mixture of items designs by Jasmine Jones and One Little Bird (both are fabulous digital designers) like washi tape, gold foil sticker sentiments & chipboard elements.  Each Documenter kit also comes with a small clear stamp set.

Additional Purchases: Studio Calico offers the "Classroom" for an additional $5 with your subscription.  It includes several process videos, a gallery, and a digital download with printable embellishments.  You can also purchase the digital kit of the double sided pocket cards for $5.99 so you always have both sides of the cards & you can pull up the PNG file to add your journaling.  In addition, you can purchase additional coordinating items that will be sent along with your kit, like a 4x6 or 12x12 paper pad, stamps, letter stickers, etc.  For my next kit, I purchased the 4x6 paper so I can make additional matching pockets on my pages.

I signed up for a 6 month subscription & I'm pretty sure I'll be keeping this one as well.  Below are some pages I made with the January kit.

In December, I signed up for the Project Life monthly kit from the Hip Kit Club for a 3 month subscription.  They also have a regular scrapbooking kit, add on embellishment, paper, cardstock and a Color It kits.  For the first month, I purchased some of the add-on items so I could see what they were all about.  It was a lot of product with tons of exclusive items that they design to coordinate with the other papers and embellishments in the kit.  All of the Project Life cards that come in the kit are exclusive and are single sided.  I've used a few here and there, but I don't love them as much as the Ali Edwards or Studio Calico cards.  I have been using lots of the embellishments.  All of the products are nice quality!

For the January kit, in addition to my Project Life kit, I also ordered the 12x12 pattern paper add-on. They had several exclusive paper designs that I liked & thought they would be nice to have for full layouts or cut them up to use with the PL cards.  Again, all of the Project Life cards are exclusive & single-sided.  This month's collection of cards were pretty good. However, you can only do so many "2016 Highlights" and "Welcome 2017/Happy New Year" pages, so I need to get a bit creative with them.  The PL Kit also came with a huge package of painted cork embellishments, alphabet stickers, enamel triangles, and a date stamp... so much fun stuff.

I haven't received the February Kit yet, but it should be here soon.  This month, I only ordered the Project Life kit because I noticed that the other kits did not contain any exclusive products. This really surprised me since Hip Kit is known for designing many of their own items to coordinate with other items in the kit.  The PL kit will still have the exclusive single-sided cards and one other exclusive item.

At this point, the jury is still out if I continue with this monthly.  I am contemplating switching to the main scrapbook kit since I get plenty of cards from the other two kits.  I hope they continue with the exclusive products going forward.

Here are a few 12x12 layouts I've done so far with the December Hip Kit.  I also have some Project Life pocket style pages done; however, I haven't photographed them yet.  I'm still working with the January kit, so I don't have any pages to share with that one yet.

Felicity Jane:
I just signed up for this subscription and haven't received it yet.  I am so excited to see it in person because it looks stunning!  It comes with all exclusive products ~ 12x12 papers, embellishments, cut apart stickers and a stamp set. Here's a peek at the kit called London that may even show up today! :)

UPDATE:  Click HERE to see my thoughts and a project using the Felicity Jane London Kit. {Hint... I LOVE IT}

I won't be keeping a subscription to all of these kits, but I really like to touch products and work with them, so subscribing for at least a short time was necessary for me to see if I would like them.  So stay tuned for more pages ~ I'm scrapping up a storm!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!

Hip Kit ~ Hello, you.

Well... I'm pretty sure I just made my favorite page of this year {yes, I know it's only February}.  My daughter sent me this adorable photo last May near the end of her first year of college.  I love that she is upside down but still has a smile on her face... it's kind of fitting for the rough year she had.  So many things happened that my sweet 18 year old should not have had to endure, but she came out of it with amazing strength and passion.  I couldn't be more proud of her and her incredible faith.

For this layout, I used the December Hip Kits ~ Main Scrapbook kit, Project Life Kit, Embellishment Kit and the cardstock kit.  This was my first month with this company and I wanted to see which of their kits suited me.  The only addition items I used on this page were some Taylored Expressions dies (circle, scallop edge) and some gold paper scraps.

I was so pleased with how beautifully the elements all worked on this page.  My initial inspiration for the layout came from a gorgeous page by Justyna Skowron, who is on the Hip Kit Design Team.

Thank you for stopping by today!
I hope you have found a bit of inspiration.

Project 52 ~ Week #5

Welcome to Wednesday and I have another layout ready for my Project 52 Album.  I really love that I can so easily keep this album up to date as the week happens.  I have been much more intentional about taking photos and journaling since I can pick up my tablet and add everything.  I have my photos from my phone automatically update in Google Pics and when I'm ready to add them, they are magically there... love that!  I also have several pages already started with the card inserted and titles done so I just go in and move/add/edit.  Easy Peasy!

For my page this week, I used the Project 52 Fresh Edition in the Project Life App.  It came out recently for 2017.  Also, for the layout, I used Design F in the App.  That's the other thing I really like about the App, I can play with the different layouts until I find one that works.

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Numbers Story Kit ~ State Finals Countdown!

This past weekend I went to a scrapbook retreat with friends.  It was a wonderful time to laugh and craft together.  I decided to work on my son's 2015 Marching Band Album for this weekend. I've had the photos placed in the page protectors for over a year, but hadn't pulled them out to finish the pages yet & since we've already finished the 2016 marching season, I don't want to get even further behind. So it was time to get going & I decided to work on this full 12x12 layout about the countdown to the champion because it was a pretty amazing day!

For my layout, I used the Numbers Story Kit & Stamp Set by Ali Edwards.  I love the big chipboard numbers, the big number 1, and the script "number" that all came with the kit.  FYI - The script word was actually "numbers" with an "s" at the end, but I carefully broke it off and filed the end down.  I attached it with some liquid glue.  I used the Numbers Story Stamp Set words to stamp along the top of the border.  For the title, I used Thickers chipboard letters and for the arrows and heart, I used various Taylored Expressions dies.

I'm so glad to have this special day documented for Matt's album.

Whatever happens going forward, Matt will always be part of the
Concord Marching Minutemen
2015 Indiana Class B Marching Band State Champions

I can't talk about that day without adding this video again
and the excitement we all shared!
Matt is the last one pictured in this short video...
it brings tears to this proud mama's eyes every single time

Friends Forever Layout

Are you ready for a new week?  It's Monday already, so I guess ready or not, here we go!  My layout today features a great photo of my daughter and one of her good friends that was taken on our Spring Break trip a few years ago.  When I pulled this photo out, I knew I wanted to use the Posh Collection from Simple Stories because the beautiful navy and coral colors match their outfits perfectly.

I used wood elements (picture frame & hearts) and colored them with a navy blue alcohol ink marker because the natural wood color didn't go with the layout at all.  For a little bit of visual interest, I cut a doily in half and added part of it to the top corner and a smaller part to the opposite bottom corner.  The heart sticker & tab at the top and word stickers at the bottom, are all from the Posh sticker sheet by Simple Stories.

Today I was originally planning on sharing a review of the scrapbooking subscription kits I've been using; however, I was away scrapbooking with friends all weekend and couldn't bring myself to write a blog post last night.  So that will be coming up some time this week.... stay tuned.

Have a lovely day!!

Hip Kit ~ Happy New Year!

It's FRIDAY!!!  WOOHOO ~ I'm so excited!  I'm going to a scrabook retreat later today until Sunday afternoon with my BFF!  We go twice a year and it's always a great time to get away.  Thankfully, it's only about 20 minutes from home, so I can still go to my son's Solo/Ensemble performance on Saturday as well.  It will be a busy weekend for sure!

For today's page, I picked some photos from the New Year's cruise we went on.  It was fun celebrating my birthday (NYE) and ringing in the new year on the cruise ship.  It was a great party for sure!

I used supplies from the December Hip Kit and my page idea is totally copied from a fabulous page by Flora Monika Farkas. Just like Flora, I used the gold puffy number stickers and gold mirror embellishments (streamers, dots, &, party) from the Hip Kit to resemble the countdown for New Year's Eve.  The "Farewell 2016", gold stars, "Celebrate" and "Hello 2017" are also from the Hip Kit.  The large "2017 bring on the new" label is from the Studio Calico January kit.

Check back on Monday as I review each of the Monthly Kit Club subscriptions I've received so far for Ali Edwards Story Kits, Studio Calico & Hip Kit Club.

Have a wonderful weekend & enjoy whatever you have planned!  I know mine will be jam packed!

Project 52 ~ Week #4

Welcome back to my Project 52 album using the Project Life App.  These are words that I rarely say, but I am up to date on this project!!!  Crazy huh?  The key for me being up to date on this project is that I went into the App and put together several weeks of layouts ahead of time with title cards, journaling blocks and filler blocks all from the same kit.  I pick one kit a week to work with and only select cards from that kit.  Then as things happen that week, I add the photos and I journal as I go.  If cards I initially picked don't work, I just swap them out and move things around.  The App is perfect for this type of a project because it is easy and so fast.

The kit I used for this page is called Hello Lovely.  This kit is available in physical product from Stampin' Up, but it's also in the App and I think it's so pretty.  As far as my journaling goes, I have been finding that I like doing a daily account of things by listing the day and adding what event(s) happened that day.  I've been journaling from my perspective & things I did, but I guess that's OK since I'm the one completing the book.  I do add things from the other family members too.  One big thing about this project is that I have been more intentional about taking photos... even silly ones ~ and that is part of my goal this year for my #onelittleword... Exploring my life through words and photos.

A Few Thoughts for the Day:

For over 10 years, I was on design teams and promoting products like crazy for others.  I had so many great experiences & worked for some amazing companies.  Companies that were so generous with products ~ oh my goodness I have drawers and drawers of generosity.  I am so thankful for those days and for the incredible friends I have met along the way.  Yes - sometimes I had to make projects with products that weren't necessarily my style and write blog posts that were a struggle, but that's all part of it.  It was about pulling in readers and helping the company sell products... which is absolutely what a good design team member should do ~ be a brand ambassador. I will never regret those days, but I have to say... I am really enjoying creating for me right now.  I absolutely LOVE being in my albums full time and I know this is where I need and want to be this year.  I have no idea how many people are really reading my blog or how many don't read it now that I'm not posting cards ~ but that's OK because I am in the right place for me.  I do hope that for those who visit, I can inspire you as I share my creative work in my little corner of the web.

Have a lovely day!!

Three, Two, One & GO!

As promised, I'm back today with the rest of the zipline story.  Yesterday, I posted part one of our story last summer, so make sure you scroll down if you missed it.

You know how they say a picture is worth a thousand words? Well I couldn't agree more! The picture I used on this page of my BFF Stephanie, is one of my favorites from our vacation.  She was pretty nervous about doing the Ziprider (which is the longest zip line in the world), but everyone else was, so she reluctantly booked the tour also.  Pretty much, once your get to the top of the hill, there is no turning back.  This was her reaction when we reached the bottom of the mountain ~ PRICELESS!  I was so glad my husband was right there to snap the picture!

Page Supplies:
As soon as I saw the Ali Edwards Numbers Story Kit for this month, I knew I wanted to use this photo for it. Since it is such a great photo, I knew I wanted to do a full 12x12 layout rather than a pocket page.  The title is big, so I printed my photo at 8 1/2 x 11 so it would cover the entire right side of my layout.  I felt a smaller photo would get lost on the page.  The rubber spelled out numbers and the blue ampersand are both from the kit.  The large red chipboard letters are from the Ali Edwards December Daily 2015 kit that I had in my stash.  I also used the Ali Edwards Photos stamp set & some Ali Edwards phrase stickers in the top corner.  The washi tape & pattern paper are the same that I used on my page yesterday to tie the two pages together.  I am so pleased with how this page came together ~ it was a very special memory with great friends!

Do you have some special stories to tell?  Get them down in your albums... they are too precious not to share!  I'll be back tomorrow with my next Project 52 page!  Thanks for stopping by...
